Poetry: The Lonely Throne
Alone I stand in this barren land,
A soul abandoned by fate's cruel hand,
I've tried to reach out to others and befriend,
But all my attempts come to a bitter end.
For in this world, we're kings of our domain,
Yet slaves to the whims of others who reign,
No matter how hard I try to be kind,
I'm always left behind.
So now I resign to my lonely fate,
Accepting that it's just too late,
To break through the walls of others' minds,
And find the friendship I've been trying to find.
I'll build my kingdom, a solitary throne,
And rule over a land that's all my own,
For in this world, we're the rulers of our domain,
But slaves to the whims of others who reign.
