Poetry: Heart in the Woods
As I sit in the woods, alone with my steed,
My heart aches with longing, my girl is all I need.
Her laughter echoes in my mind, her touch I miss so dear,
Her absence weighs upon me, filling me with fear.
The canyon in the distance, tinted by the setting sun,
Reminds me of our love, a treasure second to none.
I send my message on the wind, hoping she'll receive,
Begging her to come to me, to make my heart believe.
Her smile like sunshine, her eyes like stars above,
Her love has brought me solace, like a gentle dove.
I yearn for her presence, her warm and loving touch,
To hold her close once more, it would mean so much.
I picture her laughter, her joyous embrace,
Her soft and gentle whispers, her warm, loving grace.
I dream of walking hand in hand, beneath the moon's soft light,
Sharing stories by the fire, all through the starry night.
I wait with hope, as the fire flickers and gleams,
Praying for the moment, when she'll appear in my dreams.
I long to see her face, to hear her voice once more,
To tell her how I've missed her, to make my heart soar.
But for now, I'll sit in the woods, with my horse by my side,
Gazing at the canyon, where the sunset has died.
Hoping that my girl will come to me, and our love will be complete,
For she's the one who holds my heart, and makes my life so sweet.
